As an affordable housing organization that works daily to ensure everyone has a decent place to live, we publish a bi-annual advocacy newsletter each year. Newsletters are sent to all Summit County municipal leaders and state/federal representatives.

The purpose of this newsletter is to highlight affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization projects, policy and action – to celebrate progress and work towards our future together.

There are many ways for local, state and federal Habitat advocates and politicians to get involved including:

  • attend a new home dedication
  • invite your colleagues
  • repost our social media posts

  • donate your time through volunteering, donate items to the ReStore, or make financial contributions

Advocacy Committee

This group comprised of both board and non-board members work to engage and educate the general public and policy makers through collaborative efforts based on 4 key areas of focus including:

  1. advancing homeownership opportunities for lower-income households
  2. promoting access to a range of safe, healthy, and affordable housing options
  3. promoting financial stability for individuals and families
  4. cultivating and preserving healthy and vibrant communities
