We’ve all spent a lot of time at home over the past few months due to COVID-19 precautions. Some of us have worked from home, our kids are learning at home with online classes, and by now we are all tired of staying home. We are ready to safely adventure out with our masks to local restaurants and retailers.
Have you had the privilege of staying in a safe, healthy, and affordable home during this quarantine? There are families in our community that have been forced to quarantine in unhealthy, inadequate, and unaffordable shelters. Imagine the stress of living during a worldwide pandemic while also living in a home that causes additional negative effects on your family’s health.
Habitat for Humanity of Summit County is continuing to help families in need by building safe and affordable houses. As you continue to read this newsletter, you will see that we are beginning to build 4 new homes on East Avenue in Akron, we are continuing to offer educational classes for the Partner Families in our program, and our ReStore is open regular hours offering affordable furniture, appliances, and building materials.
Thank you for continued support of our work during this pandemic. Your donations and prayers have made our work possible during these trying times. To learn more about how you can support these families in your community through our work, visit our website hfhsummitcounty.org
